Packing Made Simple for Every Adventure
We put these packing lists together so you never have to guess what to bring. Every list is beginner-friendly, weather-conscious, and based on the real trips we take as a community.
How These Packing Lists Work
Every trip is different — weather, terrain, activities, and comfort levels all matter. I design each packing list so you know exactly what to bring (and what you don’t need to worry about).
You’ll always get a custom packing list with your trip confirmation, but this page gives you lists for all trip types so you can prep early and feel confident.

FAQs
What size bag should I bring?
For most trips, a carry-on suitcase or small duffel bag is perfect. You won’t need a huge checked bag unless the trip page specifically recommends it.
If we’ll be moving around a lot or using smaller vehicles, we’ll note any size restrictions on the trip page.
Should I pack snacks?
Yes!
We always recommend bringing a few personal snacks—especially if you have specific preferences or dietary needs. Think: trail mix, granola bars, fruit snacks, electrolytes, or anything you love for quick energy on hikes.
Do I need hiking boots or can I wear sneakers?
For most beginner-friendly hikes, comfortable sneakers with good traction are totally fine. If the itinerary includes steeper trails, muddy terrain, or longer hikes, we’ll recommend bringing lightweight hiking boots for ankle support and grip.
How much cash should I bring internationally?
Every country is different, but a good rule of thumb is to bring $60–$120 worth of local currency for small purchases, tips, markets, and places that don’t accept cards. Most locations we visit are card-friendly, so you don’t need a lot.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes—we strongly recommend it for all international trips.
Travel insurance can protect you if your flight is delayed, luggage is lost, or unexpected issues come up before or during the trip. Some destinations may require it; if so, we’ll list it clearly on the trip page.
